MCL USS Oregon Detachment Commandant presents a Distinguished Service Award to Detachment Member Don Sill for his work as the Unit Commander of the Tualatin Valley Young Marines (bottom left). Don stepped down as the Unit Commander in February, relinquishing command to Tressa Soto-Cobos. Don served with the Young Marines for nine years, and he and his family will still be active with the unit in a variety of support roles.
Tressa is the mother of two youths in the program and was previously the unit adjutant. She was inducted into the MCL as an Associate Member by Commandant Allen at the Detachment’s February meeting.
